PNP hospital expects Enrile back Thursday

Detained Senator Juan Ponce Enrile is expected to be brought back to the Philippine National Police General Hospital in Camp Crame on Thursday after being confined for weeks at the Makati Medical Center.

PNP Health Service spokesman Police Chief Insp. Raymund Santos Santos, however, said that police would still wait for the court order as regards the return to Camp Crame of the 91-year old detained senator.

He told reporters on Wednesday that Enrile's condition has been improving and he is set to return to the PNP General Hospital.

Enrile was rushed to the Makati Medical Center just days after his birthday on Feb. 14 for pneumonia.

He is facing plunder charges in connection with the alleged pork barrel scam. —NB, GMA News
