Peso opens at P51.59:US$1

The Philippine peso on Thursday opened slightly weaker than its previous close, trading at a value of 51.59 against the US dollar. It touched a low of 51.62, but improved to a value of 51.555 which surpassed Wednesday's closing rate of 51.58.
