Labor leader missing, says KMU

Four days before the scheduled nationwide Labor Day rallies, the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) voiced fears Wednesday night that Arturo Macalalag, 45, a union organizer from the Association of Democratic Labor Organizations (ADLO-KMU) was abducted. In a statement, the KMU said Macalalag left his house at noon and was heading to the ADLO-KMU office in Quezon City. He was last seen wearing a white undershirt, denim pants, blue rubber shoes, and a white cap. KMU said members tried to reach him through his cell phone but could not do so. It urged people who may know where he is to contact the KMU at 421-0986 or 421-0768.-GMANews.TV
