WATCH: After denying bid for national position, alleged Duterte campaign ad leaks online

Despite denying that he plans to run for a national position, an alleged campaign video of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for the 2016 elections has been posted online.

YouTube channel "Mugstoria" uploaded on Thursday a video titled "Leaked video of Duterte's campaign ad?"

The 34-second video opens with Duterte in his signature look: riding a motorcycle. He then explains how Davao City became one of the safest cities in the world.

"Hindi sikreto kung paano umunlad ang Davao. Kailangan lang ng konting tapang. Tapang para ituwid ang mapagsamantala, mga lumalabag sa batas, at nang-aapi sa walang laban," he said.

"May katahimikan sa Davao, kailangan lang disiplina at determinasyon. Dumami ang trabaho. Nakapag-aral ang mga bata. Sumaya ang pamilya," he added.

Then, he closes with how the Philippines can be like Davao City.

"Puwedeng magkaganito ang buong Pilipinas, kailangan lang ng tapang at malasakit," Duterte said.

Soundcloud account "Mugstoria" also posted an alleged radio ad of Duterte's campaign. Speaking in his mother tongue, the mayor described the slight differences between a Bisaya and someone from Manila.

"Sa Manila, ang langgam, gakamang-kamang pa. Sa atong mga Bisaya, galupad na (In Manila, langgam [ants] are still crawling. For us Bisaya, they [birds] are already flying," he said.

Duterte went on saying a Bisaya just needs more understanding. Nonetheless, they can deliver.

"Sa atong Bisaya, Bisaya is the best. Isog ug mahigugmaon sa isig katao (For us Bisaya, Bisaya is the best. Strong yet loving to others.)," he said.

Duterte then introduced and described himself as a descendant of a Bisaya, a true Filipino.

GMA News Online tried to get his reaction on the alleged leaked campaign ads, but he has not responded to any messages as of this post.

The 70-year-old Davao mayor has repeatedly said that he is not interested in running for a national position.

"I am not running for president sa 2016. Wala ho akong pera at matanda na po ako, I am ready to retire from public office after nitong 2016," he said in an interview on GMA News TV's "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho" on Tuesday. — Trisha Macas/JDS, GMA News
