PNP on full alert status nationwide


The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday placed the entire police force on full alert status as it prepares for the expected massive protest actions to mark the International Day of Labor on Monday. As part of the PNP’s preparations for rallies in Metro Manila, the police were put in full alert status starting Sunday noon. Chief Supt. Pedro Bulaong, Manila Police District Director, on Sunday met with at least 200 police forces and deployed 20 truckloads of soldiers to heighten security on Edsa. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was also placed on red alert status. –GMANews.TV
