Land Registration Authority to offer computerized titling services
The Land Registration Authority will soon offer the Land Titling Computerization Project (LTCP) to the public for easier access to their online information.
In a news release on Friday, the LRA said the LTCP will allow the public to verify land title locations, and possible errors and inconsistencies in the technical description of their titles.
The program also has a Title Transaction Alert service, which will alert landowners via SMS whenever their titles are accessed at the Registry of Deeds.

The Title Trace Back service will meanwhile allow users to trace their title’s history and verify its legitimacy without having to go through the current rigorous processes.
Aside from this, the LTCP allows titleholders to upgrade paper titles to e-titles to make it difficult to tamper with as an added security feature.
According to the LRA, they launched these programs to lessen the problems usually encountered in the system such as double titles due to lack of validation, and erroneous technical descriptions of properties
E-titling will also be among the main issues that will be tackled by the the Organization of Property Stakeholders (TOPS) and the LRA in a summit on July 28. — Andrei Medina/JDS, GMA News
