LOOK: SC disowns car stickers used to avoid number-coding scheme
The Supreme Court on Friday disowned stickers of the High Tribunal's seal that some motorists use to escape being apprehended for violating Metro Manila's number-coding traffic reduction scheme.
In a reply to Top Gear's post showing a Supreme Court seal covering the last two digits of a black Elantra's license plates, SC public information office chief Theodore Te said, "The Supreme Court does not issue nor has it authorized the issue of any stickers or logos or emblems of the court or any of the other courts (CA, Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals)."
"The sticker on that car is unauthorized and is not from the SC. It is hard to trace where stickers like that come from because these are easy to manufacture," Te said.
"But the public may be assured that the SC does not issue those stickers and certainly does not condone the use of those stickers as a means of circumventing traffic regulations. Thank you," he added.
What is this Supreme Court sticker bullcrap?
