‘Bilibid 19’ taken back to the NBP
The remaining 17 inmates of the “Bilibid 19”, convicted criminals who were allegedly given preferential treatment at the national penitentiary and were thus transferred to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters, were moved back to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa Saturday morning, GMA News' Hadji Rieta reported.

— Hadji Rieta (@hadjirieta) July 31, 2015Of the original Bilibid 19, one had died while another was in hospital because of a stroke.
The remaining 17 inmates will now be held at the NBP's "Building 14", a newly renovated high-security facility.
Last December's raid at the NBP's maximum security compound led to the discovery that the Bilibid 19 possessed prohibited items like money, illegal drugs, sex toys, and communication devices.
Authorities also found out that the inmates were still able to conduct drug transactions even while behind bars. — DVM, GMA News
