Krisel Mallari wins: UST accepts salutatorian who spoke against high school
Krisel Mallari, the salutatorian who tried delivering a speech against her school at the graduation rites in March, has been allowed to enroll at the University of Santo Tomas' accountancy program after initially being denied her certificate of good moral character.
According to UST's official student publication, The Varsitarian, Mallari has been advised of this development together with her lawyer, following a continuing squabble between her and officials of the Santo Niño Parochial School regarding the certificate of good moral character issued to her.
The certificate issued by the high school is one of the requirements before a student is admitted into the university.
Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy Dean Patricia Empleo said Mallari "was accepted on the merit of the credentials she presented to us."

Kasalukuyan nang pinoproseso ni Mallari, kasama ang kaniyang abogado at ama, ang kaniyang enrollment.

The CA's Second Division earlier directed her alma mater to issue the certificate of good moral character, insisting Mallari should not be prevented from pursuing higher education. -Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/NB, GMA News
