Sotto, Lacson, Recto lead 'probable' senatorial field, SWS poll says


Senator Vicente C. Sotto III, former Senator Panfilo M. Lacson and Senator Ralph G. Recto are in the lead of a field of 44 probable senatoral choices of a pre-elections survey conducted last September 2 - 5.
 
The survey also showed the following among the top 12 choices of the 1,200 respondents polled.
 
  • Senate President Franklin M. Drilon
  • Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr.
  • Former Senator Francis N. Pangilinan
  • Justice Secretary Leila M. de Lima
  • former Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri
  • Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel “Manny” D. Pacquiao
  • Senator Sergio D. Osmeña III; and 
  • Las Piñas Rep. Mark A. Villar
 
At the tail end of the list because of the statistical error margins of ± 3 percentage points for national percentages and ±6 percentage points each for Metro Manila, “Balance Luzon”, Visayas and Mindanao are:
 
  • Senator Teofisto D. Guingona III
  • Camarines Sur Rep. Maria Leonor G. Robredo
  • Former Akbayan Rep. Ana Theresia Hontiveros-Baraquel and
  • Taguig Rep. Lino S. Cayetano

The  BusinessWorld-Social Weather Stations pre-elections survey presented respondents with a list of 44 names and then made them choose 12 they would vote for if elections were held on the day they were polled.  — ELR, GMA News
