Petilla, Joel Villanueva, Rey Langit, Edu Manzano file COCs for senator

(Updated 10:40 a.m.) More known personalities are trooping to the Commission on Elections' main office on Friday morning to file their certificates of candidacy for senator.

Among them are former Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla, who is running under the Liberal Party, and broadcast journalist Rey Langit, who is part of the United Nationalist Alliance's senatorial slate.

Actor Edu Manzano also filed his COC, accompanied by his three children, among them actor Luis Manzano.

Former Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Joel Villanueva also filed his certificate of candidacy on Friday morning.

Villanueva, who is part of the LP's senatorial slate, was accompanied by his father, Eddie, who had previously ran for president. —KG, GMA News
