1,784 pass Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination –PRC


With a 39.9 percent passing rate, some 1,784 out of 4,467 examinees hurdled the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered just days ago.
 
University of the Philippines (Diliman) was the only school with 40 or more examinees with at least 80 percent passing percentage, according to the PRC.

Only one UP Diliman alumnus was among the examinees in the highest ranks, but he was the topnotcher: Emiliano Marcelo Tan. His rating was 91.20 percent.
 
The Technological Institute of the Philippines (Manila) had three in the Top 10: Cedrick Johnlery Sayson Judilla (89.40); Kelvin Ralph Ambayec Bella (88.70); and Ivy Joy Baguiwan Cee (88.60).



Some 197 colleges and universities fielded examinees.
 
The PRC said 2,181 examinees failed while 502 were placed under conditional status.
 
Six schools had 100 or more examinees who passed: Bulacan State University (Malolos); Mapua Institute of Technology (Manila); Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Manila); Southern Luzon State University (Lucban); Technological University of the Philippines; and University of Santo Tomas.

 
The PRC also said late Thursday that 2,984 out of 3,518 passed the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electronics Engineering.  — ELR, GMA News
