Marlene Aguilar’s passionate defense of son Jason Ivler through the years

Marlene Aguilar continued to deny all charges against her son, Jason Ivler, despite the Quezon City Regional Trial Court convicting him of murder on Tuesday.

"As far as I am concerned, this is the CIA's way of punishing me for my disobedience. It's very complicated. This is part of the 'game within games within games," Aguilar, a sister of singer Freddie Aguilar, wrote in her latest post on social media.

Marlene publicly took the cudgels for her son over the past several years through her public social media account and a fan page for her son, affectionately nicknamed Jsin, since 2010.

Her opinions regarding her son and certain power structures in the Philippines and the US earned both the ire and awe of netizens over the years.
