Alleged mastermind in Enzo Pastor slay arrested in Cavite

The NBI has arrested the alleged mastermind in the murder of race car driver Enzo Pastor on Thursday.
Businessman Domingo "Sandy" De Guzman III, allegedly the lover of Pastor's widow Dalia Guerrero, was nabbed in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Atty. Enrique Dela Cruz, the Pastor family's lawyer, confirmed the news.
"We would like to thank the Philippine law enforcement, especially the NBI, for the successful capture of Sandy de Guzman, and for never giving up on our case," the Pastor family said in a statement.
"It is our family's fervent wish that the truth will come out and justice for our son can finally be done so that we can start to heal."
De Guzman reportedly did not resist arrest when he was caught at past 7 p.m. on Thursday, according to GMA News sources. He was transferred to NBI headquarters in Manila.
De Guzman had been at large since August when the Quezon City Regional Trial Court issued a warrant of arrent against him in connection with Pastor's killing. He is facing murder charges.
Dalia, meanwhile, who is facing parricide charges remains at large.
"Please continue to pursue the capture of Dalia Guerrero," said the Pastor family. "And we humbly ask the public to watch over the case of Enzo to ensure that justice will be served."
Authorities consider a love triangle as a motive in the killing of Enzo in 2014.
They were tagged as the masterminds in Pastor's murder by Police Officer Edgar Angel, the alleged gunman.
But Angel recanted his statement after admitting that he was the one who gunned down Pastor. —JST, GMA News
