Ex-LTO chief Virginia Torres dies of cardiac arrest
Former Land Transportation Office Chief Virginia Torres died on Saturday morning of cardiac arrest.
An earlier post on its Twitter account, dzBB radio said the former LTO chief's death was confirmed by her brother Ruben Torres.

A separate report on GMA News indicated that Virgie Torres died of cardiac arrest.
Quoting Virgie's brother Ruben Torres, a GMA News report said that at 10 a.m. on Friday she was brought to the Medical City in Clark, Pampanga after compalining of chest pains.
At about 1:06 a.m. Saturday she passed away, the report added.
Her funeral wake will be in Paniqui, Tarlac.
The late ex-LTO chief had been recently involved in a controversy with the Bureau of Customs for supposedly using her influence to release controversial container vans of merchandise. — LBG, GMA News
