SC suspends work in courts on Holy Wednesday

Work at the Supreme Court and other courts in Manila will be suspended on Wednesday, in light of Holy Week.

In an advisory, the SC Public Information Office said that aside from the high tribunal, other courts covered by the work suspension are the Court of Appeals and all trial courts in Manila.

The SC PIO, however, added that these courts would be maintaining a skeleton force from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Particularly ordered to maintain a skeleton force were the SC Clerk of Court en banc, SC Judicial Records Office (JRO), SC Fiscal Management and Budget Office Cash Division, CA Cash Division, CA JRO, and the Manila trial courts (as the executive judge may provide).

Meanwhile, work in all the remaining courts nationwide would be suspended from 12 noon onwards.

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays, while Black Saturday is a special non-working holiday. — Mark Merueñas/RSJ, GMA News
