9 injured in Camp Bagong Diwa riot


Several inmates at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig were injured when a riot erupted between the members of the notorious Sigue-sigue Sputnik and the Bahala Na gangs at around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, GMA7's DZBB radio reported. Police investigators reported that the wounded inmates were rushed to the Rizal Medical Center for treatment. Police identified the injured as: Joel Tungo, 31; Rolando Advincula, 26; Alan Mamalubac, 26; Marvin Sandoval, 22; Julius Felix, 35; Ibrahim Sipao, 38; Miragi Isnague, 50; and Umar Suon, 30; and a certain John. Reports said that Maragi and John are in critical condition. Maragi sustained a gun shot wound to the body and John was stabbed on the side of the body. Jail officer Juan Sollado, said the riot occurred in the Manila sector. Sollado said the situation inside the camp is now under control but the Police are still investigating the cause of the riot.-GMANews.TV
