Caitie’s remains dedicated to Christ in marriage-themed celebration
Party poppers greeted the remains of the three-year-old girl who died of a rare disease upon arrival at the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City on Saturday.
Hours before her body was set to be cremated Sunday afternoon, the late Caitlin "Caitie" Lucas was dedicated to her Creator in a marriage-themed ceremony.
The service is a memorial for the late innocent child, known as “Courageous Caitie,” and a celebration of her union with Jesus Christ.
“We would love for everyone attending the wedding of Caitlin to Jesus today to come in formal attire as today will be marriage-themed — we are giving away our daughter to the ultimate Lover of our souls,” a post on Caitie's Facebook page reads.
Pastor Roy Felipe of the Christ's Commission Fellowship will lead the service at 3:00 p.m., while the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra serenades Caitie and the attendees.
The child's remains will be escorted to the Crematorium at 4:00 p.m. by no less than her favorite Storm Troopers from movie franchise “Star Wars,” accompanied by a wedding march.
A wedding reception will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Arlington Hall A.

Last night, a debut-themed memorial service was celebrated for “Courageous Caitie.”
“I'm so happy we were able to do everything with Caitie. We watched all Star Wars movies together, all Lion King movies and even got to watch the newest one—The Lion Guard. No regrets. No regrets,” Caitie's parents wrote.
They added, “We didn't wait till she was a teenager for our mom and daughter or father and daughter dates. Didn't wait till she was old enough to attend dance classes etc. We didn't wait for a wedding to have her dirty dancing lift up father daughter dance. We didn't wait when she was old enough to travel the world. Thank you Lord for the grace that in 3 years we lived what was like 30 years. Her body was 3 but her soul lived like it was 30 years old in experience, in wisdom and beauty.”
You are the most beautiful bride anak. :) We are marrying you to Jesus today. We have tears of joy. :)
