Issue on possible deportation of Poe’s husband is political harassment —Chiz
Vice presidential candidate and Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero on Sunday said the issue about the possible deportation of Neil Llamanzares, husband of presidential candidate Sen. Grace Poe, is political harassment.
Manuelito Luna, counsel of former Sen. Francisco "Kit" Tatad, alleged on Saturday that Llamanzares is an American national working in the Philippines without a valid permit.
Tatad said he will ask the Bureau of Immigration on Monday to investigate the claim.
Speaking to reporters after a fun run on Sunday, Escudero insisted that Poe is a natural-born citizen and has legal basis to stay in the Philippines.
Tatad, represented by Luna, is one of the four petitioners who sought Poe's disqualification from the presidential race. —KG, GMA News
