Pasig village residents flee homes due to ‘unbearable’ stench

Dozens of families in a village in Pasig City on Saturday night fled their homes because of foul smell emanating allegedly from a resin plant in their area, radio DZBB reported. According to the report, residents of J. Borres Street in Barangay Bagong Ilog complained that the stench began in the morning and became unbearable early evening. Barangay rescue workers rushed to the area to evacuate some residents but village officials have not yet reported taking anyone to hospital. Village officials could not say if there was a major chemical leak in the area as the residents claimed. - GMANews.TV
