Kitty Duterte to hold Bible when Digong takes oath as 16th President

The youngest daughter of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will hold the Bible when he takes his oath as the next Chief Executive on Thursday, GMA News' Ian Cruz has reported on "24 Oras."

Inaugural committee member Lisette Marques confirmed Veronica Duterte's partcipation to reporters in Davao City on Monday.

Veronica or Kitty is Duterte’s 12-year-old daughter with his partner Honeylet Avanceña.

Kitty was usually seen at Duterte’s campaign sorties from February to May.

If she's not with her mother on the sidelines, she would be seen onstage whispering to her dad while he's giving a speech or giving him a bottle of water.

On June 30, Duterte will take his oath before Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes.

President Benigno Aquino III in 2010 was sworn in by Supreme Court Associate Justice Conchita Carpio-Morales.
