Bong Go: Duterte to hold office in Malacañan Palace
Rodrigo Duterte's special assistant Christopher “Bong” Go on Wednesday night revealed that the President-elect will hold office at the Malacañan Palace despite his earlier pronouncements about wanting to spend more time in Davao City.
“Kasi doon naman po ang seat of power ng Presidente, sa Malacañang,” he said in an interview with reporters in Davao City before leaving for Manila.
Duterte had said that he wants to go home to Davao City every day, saying that he is most comfortable at his own home.
“Siguro, maaaring hahanapin niya rin po kung saan siya galing, sa Davao,” said Go, who said he cannot tell how many times in a week Duterte will fly home.
Go said that Duterte also plans to regularly visit Visayas.
