17th Congress: Senate, by the numbers

Out of 24 senators, nine are newly elected, including boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, and "TESDA Man" Joel Villanueva. Having won in the May 9, 2016 polls, they will serve until 2022.

Three second-termers, reelected this year, will also serve until 2022: Senators Franklin Drilon, Ralph Recto, and Vicente "Tito" Sotto III.
