3 Senate committees remain vacant

Only three committees in the Senate have yet to be filled up as of Wednesday afternoon.

This, as senators have elected Senator Risa Hontiveros to lead the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality.

The three of the 40 committees of the chamber that have yet to be filled up were the committees on agrarian reform, accounts, and ethics and privileges.

There are reports circulating in the Senate that Sen. Panfilo would most likely head the Committee in Accounts, which will handle all matters relating to the auditing and adjustment of all accounts chargeable against the funds for the expenses and activities of the Senate.

Lacson, who has already been elected chair of games and amusement and public order and dangerous drugs, has led the committee in the past.
