Where are Philippine Presidents buried?

Out of the Philippines' 16 presidents, 11 have already passed away, including the late President Ferdinand Marcos, whose remains are set to be buried at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City.

Marcos was ousted by a popular uprising — the 1986 People Power Revolution — and he passed away 27 years ago in 1989 while he was in exile in Hawaii.

In 1993, his remains were brought to the Philippines by his family who have since been pushing for a hero's burial for him at the Libingan.

The LNBM, a national cemetery, is the final resting place for Filipino military personnel, heroes, martyrs and presidents. However, only two out of the 10 deceased Philippine presidents are buried there: Presidents Carlos Garcia and Diosdado Macapagal, the father of former president and incumbent Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
