The Philippine National Police stormed on Monday 13 houses of barangay officials and businessmen allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

The authorities also raided the house of former Philippine Basketball Association player and barangay chairman Egay Echavez.

Echavez is the former husband of Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog.

The report said all the personalities were absent during the drug raid.
