Carjack leader Raymond Dominguez brought to Bilibid hospital

Convicted carnapper Raymond Dominguez was brought to the New Bilibid Prison Hospital on Friday after his blood pressure shot up, a ranking prison official said.

Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officer-in-charge Rolando Asuncion said Dominguez's blood pressure shot up after exercising, refuting rumors that he was mauled by other inmates in connection with a reported shabu haul.

Dominguez's condition has since stabilized, Asuncion said, adding that Dominguez was ordered ordered returned to his cell at the NBP's maximum security compound.

Earlier reports said Dominguez helped authorities seize P220-million worth of shabu allegedly owned by a fellow inmate.

Reports said Dominguez tipped off the police about the 10 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu that was recovered on Thursday in an abandoned car in Barangay San Vicente in Apalit, Pampanga.

The shabu was allegedly surrendered to authorities by an accomplice of drug convict Wai Kou Cuia alias Ryan Ong. — Virgil Lopez/RSJ, GMA News
