Duterte to meet China premier, Filipino community in Beijing
BEIJING, China - As he shifts to an international foreign policy in an attempt to open more doors for the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to travel here for a state visit from October 18 to 21.
Straight from Brunei, Duterte will arrive here on Tuesday.
The chief executive will then meet with the Filipino community at the Grand Hyatt Beijing.
His busiest day in Beijing will be on October 20 with a welcome ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, followed by an expanded bilateral meeting.
Duterte will then witness signing ceremonies of deals expected to be discussed during his trip.
The President will meet with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday, Oct. 20.
The appointment will be followed by another meeting—this time with National People’s Congress Chairman Zhang Dejiang.
Duterte will then head to the state banquet prepared for him.
On Friday, his fourth day in China, the President will have a meeting with Bank of China before flying back to his home city, Davao.
