2 dead in Sta. Maria, Bulacan fireworks blast – police

Two people reported killed while three others were seriously injured following an explosion at a fireworks store in Sta. Maria, Bulacan Wednesday morning, a police report said.

The explosion occurred at 9:15 a.m. at AA Fireworks located at Sitio Banca-Banca in Barangay Pulong Buhangin, the report said.

Those injured were brought to a nearby hospital, the same report said.

The Sta. Maria explosion came more than a month after three people were killed when blasts hit several fireworks stores in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Two people initially died in the Bocaue blasts, while the third victim died early this month.  — RSJ, GMA News
