Dayan denies having sex video with De Lima
Ronnie Dayan on Thursday denied that he has a sex video with his former boss Senator Leila De Lima.
"Wala pong katotohanan yun Sir. Kung meron mang kumuha, hindi 'yun galing sa cellphone ko," Dayan said during the House inquiry on the proliferation of illegal drugs in New Bilibid Prison.
De Lima’s former close-in security aide Joenel Sanchez had divulged alleged details about the past romantic relationship between her and Dayan.
Sanchez had testified about the supposed existence of the sex video of De Lima and Dayan during the October 6 House hearing on the proliferation of illegal drugs in New Bilibid Prison.
The senator said the House of Representatives "slut-shamed" her by allowing details of her personal life to be discussed during the said hearing.
"Hindi nga nila ipinalabas yung sex video, na-pressure siguro sila sa dami ng umalma pero alam n'yo naman ang nangyari during the hearing," De Lima said.
"Hinayaan lang nila, na hinayaan ang dating PSG security ko na si Joenel Sanchez na nagsiwalat ng mga ganung detalye... So ganun na rin ang nangyari, slut-shaming na rin ho yun.," she added.
The sex tape allegedly featuring the former Justice Secretary was first raised by whistleblower Sandra Cam in 2014 during De Lima's confirmation hearing before the Commission on Appointments.
De Lima stated that it was a fake but did not deign to file a complaint against Cam.
President Rodrigo Duterte, meanwhile, often cited the alleged existence of the sex video in his tirades against De Lima.
"Hindi niya mapigilan ang immorality niya... Her sex escapade led her to commit several serious violations of law," Duterte said after attending the wake of a police officer in Taytay, Rizal.
Duterte insisted that De Lima was the woman in a screencap of an alleged sex video, a charge that the senator has denied.
"Lumabas na lahat, pati yung kalokohan niya sa kama. Hindi photoshop yan, sinadya talaga ng lalake yan at pumayag yan," Duterte said. — VVP, GMA News
