Dayan claims he received drug money only from Kerwin

The former driver and alleged bagman of Senator Leila de Lima on Monday claimed he only received money from alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa to supposedly fund the senatorial campaign of his former boss.

“Wala nang iba…Kasi yun lang naman ang sinabi sa 'kin na kuhaan,” De Lima’s former driver Ronnie Dayan said before the Senate committee on public order hearing.

Dayan said he remembers receiving an amount of P8 million from Espinosa on De Lima’s behalf. He earlier told a congressional committee hearing that he could not remember how much he got from Espinosa.

Senator Manny Pacquiao said he doubts Dayan’s statement.

“Malaking question ‘yung sa amin. Do you think maniwala kami sayo na si Kerwin lang ang kinontak mo?” Pacquiao said. —ALG,GMA News
