Andanar: Duterte had 'very intimate' talk with over 1,000 mayors on illegal drugs

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Thursday said President Rodrigo Duterte had an intimate, confidential talk about the illegal drug trade with over 1,000 mayors in Malacañang.

"He wanted to talk to them in a very intimate manner... I was not informed kung ano iyong pag-uusapan. It was highly confidential," he said in a radio interview.

The mayors  had arrived in Malacañang in three batches, based on their place of origin — Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

"What I can tell you, it was a heart to heart talk between the President and the mayors. It was amplifying the message of the President on the illegal drugs. Alam naman natin na iyan ang priority policy ng President," Andanar said.

On Monday, Duterte said he would kill narco-mayors on his list if they would not resign. — VVP, GMA News
