Mastermind, nanny in Palma rape-slay sighted in Luzon
The mastermind and the nanny in the brutal rape-slay of seven-year-old âsuitcase girl" Geraldine Palma have been sighted in separate areas in Luzon. Manila Police District (MPD) investigators said this was the gist of intelligence reports they received on the whereabouts of suspected mastermind Henry Tesado and nanny Maritess Ontog. âNasa Luzon area, itâs either Zambales or Pampanga (Heâs in the Luzon area. Itâs either Zambales or Pampanga)," MPD homicide section head Chief Insp. Alexander Yanquiling said on Q-11 television Saturday, referring to the whereabouts of Tesado. As for Ontog, he said the intelligence reports indicated she went to Tacloban in the Visayas, but returned to Luzon. He did not elaborate. Ontog was the last person Geraldine was seen with, before victimâs body was found stuffed inside a suitcase floating in Manila Bay last month. Investigation showed Geraldine was also gang-raped. Yanquiling said he has ordered his operatives to distribute âwanted" posters for the two. The police have already charged two other suspects in the case â Joey Egos, who was arrested in Bulacan and Renato Bohol, who surrendered to authorities. On the other hand, Norberta Legado, a live-in partner of suspect Ramil Diorico, was subjected to a lie-detector test to see if she could qualify as a state witness. - GMANews.TV
