Most government offices get ‘good rating’ from Civil Service Commission
Majority of government services in the Philippines received an acceptable
grade in terms of the public's perception on their services, results of the latest Report Card Survey (RSC) of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) showed.
In a statement, the CSC said that according to its annual RSC, majority of the 1,109 government service offices it surveyed in 2016 obtained a median rating of "Good."
Broken down, the CSC said that 140 services offices or 12.71 percent got an "Excellent" rating, 15 offices or 1.35 percent were "Outstanding," 739 offices or 66.64 percent were "Good," and 87 offices or 7.84 percent were "Acceptable."
On the other hand, 127 offices or 11.45 percent failed the RCS, or the "quantitative measure of client perception on the quality, efficiency, and adequacy of public services."
The survey was conducted from March to December 2016 and included 1,109 offices — 597 first to sixth class cities and municipalities, 213 local water districts, 53 state universities and colleges, and 100 Land Bank of the Philippines branches.
The RCS is mandated by Republic Act 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) of 2007. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/NB, GMA News
