Pro-Duterte rally at Rizal Park

People wearing red arrived in droves at Rizal Park (formerly Luneta Park) in Manila on Saturday to declare their support for President Rodrigo Duterte and to offer candlelight and prayers for the success of his war against illegal drugs, corruption, criminality and poverty.

Groups marched from Intramuros carrying pro-Federalism streamers and, at the venue, shirts saying "No to Drugs, Yes to Federalism" were being printed.

As of 5 p.m. Manila Police District's Superintendent Emerey Abating said that the crowd at Rizal Park is 3,500 people strong. The vigil is expected to last for two days. —Aya Tantiangco/ALG, GMA News
