Duterte, Robredo to sit in the same row at PMA graduation rites
President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo will be sitting near each other during the Philippime Military Academy's (PMA) graduation rites in Baguiog City on Sunday morning.
A member of Robredo's team told GMA News Online said that the two top government officials will be sitting in the same row during the event, which is expected to start at 9 a.m.
The staff member of Robredo also said that Duterte will be sitting in the middle of the first row.
The PMA graduation rites would be the second event that will be attended by the two top government officials since Duterte barred Robredo from attending Cabinet meetings last year.
The two officials had met during the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) last January 31. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana was seated between them.
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella had said that there was no "awkward moment" between Duterte and Robredo during the LEDAC meeting.
Abella added that the officials had a "warm" exchange during the event, and Duterte even cracked jokes at Robredo.
