Palace: Former Senator Leticia Ramos-Shahani’s voice will be missed

Malacañang condoled with the family and friends of former Senator Leticia Ramos-Shahani who passed away early Monday morning. 

“The Palace is saddened by the news of former senator and career diplomat Leticia Ramos Shahani’s passing this morning,” presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a statement on Monday. 

“Senator Shahani served the nation well as senator of the Republic and worked tirelessly in the executive branch in various capacities under different administrations,” he added. 

“Our condolences and prayers to the family and friends of the former Senator. She was a profound humanist and her voice will be missed,” Abella continued. 

Shahani is the younger sister of former President Fidel Ramos. 

The former senator died at 2:40 a.m. in the intensive care unit. — Trisha Macas/RSJ, GMA News
