Early morning downpour leaves metro streets flooded


Residents in several parts of Metro Manila got a rude awakening Saturday from floods caused by a heavy downpour early in the morning. Radio dzRH reported that some streets in Quezon City, Manila and Caloocan City were flooded as of 8 a.m. In Caloocan City, floods were reported along R. Papa Extension heading for Blumentritt, and A. Bonifacio Street from Balintawak. Floods were also reported along Maceda Street in Manila’s Sampaloc district, and in the nearby Quiapo district. Streets near the Chinese General Hospital in Manila’s Sta. Cruz district were also flooded, the report said. - GMANews. TV
