Gina Lopez on ‘f—ing employee’ remark: I apologize deeply

Environment Secretary Gina Lopez has apologized for the profanity-laced remarks she made against a reporter covering the environment beat, dzBB's Rowena Salvacion has reported.

Lopez called BusinessWorld reporter Janina Lim "a f—ing employee," an audio recording of which was posted on InterAksyon.com.

The angry remarks came amid questions about Lopez's recent order requiring a trust fund for suspended mining firms.

"You know, you're just a f—ing employee, why don't you have a heart for the poor?" Lopez said.
