Melloria, other ASG gunmen buried in Bohol public cemetery
Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) leader Joselito Melloria and three of his fellow gunmen were buried at the Clarin Public Cemetery in Bohol Sunday afternoon, GMA News stringer Leo Udtohan reported.
The ASG fighters were killed Saturday during a series of clashes with security forces.
Melloria's 74-year-old mother, Maria Norma, was able to view her son's body before the burial.
She last spoke to her son last April 10, though they could not meet as she was in Cebu at the time.
Maria Norma knew her son to be a good person, and she had no idea how he got involved with the ASG.
Nevertheless, she believed that Joselito had committed crimes, and that was why he was killed.
