Nobleza, Dongon transferred to Camp Crame

Superintendent Maria Cristina Nobleza and her alleged boyfriend, suspected Abu Sayyaf member Reenor Lou Dongon, arrived at the Philippine National Police headquarters (PNP) in Camp Crame on Tuesday morning.

A radiod dzBB report said the couple arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 onboard Cebu Pacific flight 5J 620 at past 9 a.m.

They were escorted by Superintendent Jonathan Cabal of the regional intelligence division of the Central Visayas Regional Police Office.

The couple was brought to a waiting police vehicle and immediately left the airport.

The couple arrived at Camp Crame at past 10 a.m.

PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said the couple will be presented to Director General Ronald dela Rosa.

Dela Rosa had said that he directed Region 7 police director Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño to facilitate the transfer of Nobleza and Dungon to Camp Crame as the two are high risk suspects.

Carlos said in a radio dzBB interview that Nobleza is already under investigation for possible criminal and administrative charges.

"The counter-intelligence function of our unit is also looking for iba pang possible... those erring police officers, scalawags, and protectors. Lahat tinitignan namin... kung may paglabag sa regulasyon o batas sa aming hanay," Carlos added.

Nobleza, deputy regional director of the Davao Regional Police Office's Crime Laboratory, was arrested together with her boyfriend Dongon, his mother, and niece after attempting to drive past a checkpoint in Barangay Bacani in Clarin town on Saturday.

Police later found out that they were trying to rescue one of the Abu Sayyaf members being pursued by government troops. —ALG/MDM/KG, GMA News
