MSU-GenSan grad tops Electrical Engineering Licensure Exam


A graduate from the Mindanao State University - General Santos City was first among the more than 994 passers of the 2017 Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday.

Topnotcher Kent Meyler Malones Samaranos scored 90.90 in the exam.

He was followed by David Dela Cruz Florez of Far Eastern University - Institute of Technology and Jenny Rose Vergara Repollo of the University of the Philippines - Los Baños. Both had a grade of 90.50.

Brian Baltazar Balmores, also from UP - Los Baños, came in third with 89.90

Completing the Top 10 are:

4. Vincent Habig Dimayacyac of UP Diliman and Chris Lloyd Lajara of Technological University of the Philippines - Taguig both with 89.75

5. John Raymond Boctuanon Lumawag of UP - Los Baños with 88.90

6. Harold Gil Singson Navarrete of Mapua Institute of Technology - Manila and Jade Mark Jao Talaboc of Mindanao State University both with 88.85

7. Kyle Uy Vosotros of UP - Los Baños with 88.80

8. Ramon Ecleo Ednalaga of UP - Los Baños with 88.75

9. Francis Jorge Taganahan Lomaad of UP - Los Baños with 88.70

10. Ronald Ian Borja of of Technological University of the Philippines - Taguig and Earl Olinski Balmadres Flores from Mindanao State University both with 88.65

According to the PRC, 2,213 took the exam given by the Board of Electrical Engineering.

Exams were held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, and Tacloban.

The PRC added that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards (IDs) and Certificates of Registration will be done online from May 3 to May 5, 2017. — Anna Felicia Bajo/DVM, GMA News
