Top 10 passers of the 2016 Bar Exams

The Supreme Court on Wednesday revealed the names of law students who topped the 2016 Bar examinations.

The top Bar passer was a student from the University of San Carlos, which also dominated the list with a total of four graduates.

The Silliman University followed the school with the most number passers in the the top 10.

The Top 10 passers include:

1. Karen Mae L. Calam, University of San Carlos, 89.0500%
2. Alanna Gayle Ashley Khio, Silliman University, 88.9500?
3. Fiona Cristy D. Lao, University of San Carlos and Athalia B. Liong, Andres Bonifacio College, 88.8000?
4. Allana Mae A. Babayen-On, University of San Agustin, 88.7500?
5. Justin Ryan D. Morilla, Ateneo de Davao University, 88.4000%
6. Mark Dave M. Camarao, Northwestern University, 88.1000%
7. Anne Margaret E. Momongan, University of San Carlos, 87.8000%
8. Jefferson L. Gomez, University of San Carlos, 87.7000%
9. Nia Rachelle M. Gonzales, University of Batangas and Marie Chielo H. Ybio, Silliman University, 87.5000%
10. Andrew Stephen D. Liu, Silliman University, 87.4500%

The Supreme Court a total of 3,747 out of the 6,344 examinees passed the test or a passing rate of 59.06 percent.

Bar confidant Christina Layusa also said that it was the first time a single student from a university in Metro Manila did not make it to the top 10. —Virgil Lopez/ALG, GMA News
