Uson says Duterte offered Mocha Girls govt jobs in jest

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Margaux "Mocha" Uson explained in a Friday social media post that President Rodrigo Duterte's job offers to her girl group "Mocha Girls" was merely a jest from the president.

"Yes po totoo po magkakaroon na ng DEPARTMENT OF ENTERTAINMENT or DOEn," said Uson on her Facebook account. "Pag yan naniwala pa kayo ha? Pa check-up na po kayo. NAGBIBIRUAN LANG KANINA SINERYOSO NAMAN NG IBA HEHEHEHEHE."

Uson had earlier also posted the "job offer" on her account:

Duterte had appointed Uson as PCOO assistant secretary last May 9.

The president later defended the appointment, pointing to Uson's  intellect and communication skills.

He added that he was indebted to the Mocha Girls because the entertainers had campaigned for him.

Prior to this appointment, Uson had been a board member of the Movie and Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB). — DVM, GMA News
