LRA gets new administrator

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed lawyer Renato Bermejo as administrator of the Land Registration Authority (LRA), an attached agency of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Duterte signed Bermejo's appointment on May 10, according to the document sent by Malacañang to the DOJ.

Bermejo replaced former LRA Administrator Eulalio Diaz III, a classmate of then-President Benigno Aquino III at the Ateneo De Manila Grade School.

The LRA is the agency responsible for issuing decrees of registration and certificates of title and register documents, patents and other land transactions for the benefit of landowners, agrarian-reform beneficiaries and the registering public. —NB, GMA News
