House swears in two new lawmakers representing senior citizens

The House of Representatives on Monday welcomed two new members representing the country's senior citizen sector.

During the opening of the Second Regular Session of the 17th Congress, Francisco Datol Jr. and Milagros Aquino Magsaysay were sworn into office, representing the Coalition of the Association of Senior Citizens in the Philippines.

Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez led their oath-taking in front of their fellow lawmakers from the House of Representatives.

The installment of Datol and Magsaysay brought the roster of House members to 293.
