Text message showing Duterte in-law's alleged link to smuggling
Customs fixer Mark Taguba, during a Senate inquiry on Thursday, read out a text exchange he once had with his contact to a notorious smuggling group in Davao to prove the supposed link of President Rodrigo Duterte's son-in-law to smuggling activities at the Bureau of Customs.
Taguba read out the content of the text message after Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, during the resumption of the hearing on the P6.4-billion shabu smuggling mess, asked him about a text message he [Taguba] received from a certain "Tita Nanie" on March 17. The text message mentioned a certain “Mance.”

“Sino yung Mance?” Trillanes asked Taguba, who responded: “Yung Mance po, ito yung asawa ni Mayor Sara.”
Taguba was referring to Duterte's daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and her husband Manases "Mans" Carpio.
Taguba answered in the affirmative when asked if Mans was also behind the Davao Group, which is allegedly involved in the smuggling of shipments at the Customs bureau. — MDM/KVD, GMA News
