Ex-Gabriela Rep. Luz Ilagan named DSWD undersecretary
President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Gabriela party-list Representative Luzviminda Ilagan as undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Ilagan, who is also from Davao City, was appointed to the post on September 13, according to the appointment paper released Thursday.

Ilagan served as the OIC of the City Council in Davao City from 1986 to 1988. She was elected councilor from 1998 to 2001 and worked for the passage of the Davao City Women Development Code.
Aside from Ilagan, Malacañang also released the appointment paper of National Irrigation Administration deputy administrator Romeo Gan, dated September 13.

The appointment paper of Philippine National Police Region III regional commander Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino as Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general was also released on Thursday. He was appointed September 12. —KBK/KVD, GMA News
