Four names added to lookout bulletin list in Atio Castillo hazing case
Four names have been added to the lookout list issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of government efforts to locate the people suspected of involvement in the hazing death of freshman law student Horacio Castillo III.
The latest additions to the immigration lookout bulletin order issued by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II are Ged Villanueva, Milfren Alvarado, Daniel Ragos and Dave Felix.
According to Justice Undersecretary Erickson Balmes, the new names were culled from the list of persons of interest in the case forwarded by the Manila Police District (MPD) to the DOJ on Wednesday.
Among those listed in the lookout order were primary suspects Ralph Trangia and John Paul Solano, members of the Aegis Juris fraternity that conducted the initiations rites on September 16 that took Castillo's life.
Trangia's father, Antonio Trangia, also a suspect, is not on the updated bulletin, but Aguirre said he would coordinate with the MPD to know more information about Antonio's participation in the crime.
The MPD had said the vehicle used to bring Castillo to the Chinese General Hospital was registered to Antonio.
Trangia left for Taipei a day before the lookout bulletin order was first handed down on Wednesday while Solano voluntarily submitted himself to authorities on Friday.
Castillo died after attending the "welcoming rites" of the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law-based Aegis Juris fraternity.
Authorities confirmed that Castillo died of the injuries he suffered while being hazed.
A Senate inquiry on Castillo's death has already been set for September 25 for the purpose of amending or repealing the 22-year-old Anti-Hazing Law. —KBK, GMA News
