Gordon on Trillanes’ threat to file graft, plunder raps: Let him do his worst

Senator Richard Gordon on Thursday remained unfazed by the graft and plunder charges that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV vowed to file against him.

In a phone interview with reporters, Gordon said Trillanes is free to do anything as he is not afraid to face any of his threats.

"Ewan ko kung, parang natitipuhan ako niyan pero bakit ako ang binibira pati si Koko Pimentel ay pinatatanggal niya, sobra naman na yung crush niya sa akin," Gordon said in jest.

"Hindi ko na pinapatulan yung mga ganyang salita na papatanggal niya, mandadamay pa siya eh. Nakakalungkot naman yung ganyan...Bakit ba he acts like somebody na who keeps on lying and lying and lying in the thought that yung kanyang pagsisinungaling magiging truth by saying it so many times. But that's his problem, it's not my problem. I'll just pray for him," he added.

Trillanes earlier said he will file an ethics and plunder complaint against Gordon.

"Malapit na at hindi lang ethics complaint ang ifa-file ko sa kanya. Criminal complaint din," Trillanes said during the Kapihan sa Senado when asked on whether his ethics complaint against Gordon is ready.

"I intend to file a plunder case against Senator Gordon so abangan ang susunod na kabanata," he added.

Trillanes said the plunder complaint against Gordon will be in connection with the latter's alleged corrupt acts as chairman of the Philippine Red Cross.

Gordon, for his part, defended himself saying that he was never paid at Red Cross.

"Let him do his worst, he keeps threatening. Let him do his worst, I'm ready to answer anything, I am not paid in the Red Cross, you all know that. Some of you get blood from the Red Cross. Some of you ask for ambulances from the Red Cross, I mean we serve," he said.

"I don't get any money here, I don't get any allowance. I'm a member of the international federation and if he wants to destroy that, that's his own lookout. Ano ba siya, ano ba siya presidente ng international liars association?" he added.

He also welcomed Trillanes' plan to raise his case to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

"Well he can do that. He tried that already. I've been elected in absentia. I've been elected twice, the Philippine Red Cross is one of the most respected. They just invited me to go to Myanmar, to help out in Myanmar," Gordon said.

"Let him do it, I'm not afraid of any threats." — RSJ/KVD, GMA News
